Blizzcon is live over this weekend, with a swatch of announcements.

DIABLO x Netflix

“We are thrilled to share that we are in development on a new animated series
for Diablo with Netflix.”

Netflix is returning to the depths of hell.
After years of behind the scences false starts & rumours, an animated series based on Blizzard Entertainment’s
legendary Diablo franchise is officially in the works.

TLDR: Nick van Dyk, the former co-president of Activision Blizzard Studios, confirmed pre production back
as far as 2018 and 2019; however legal entanglements involved Activision Blizzard suing Netflix for allegedly
poaching CFO, Spencer Neumann.

Suffice to say, with new leadership for XBX game studios –  the hatchet is buried;  with a mega deal of IPs
for TV & movie adaptation up for grabs to a raft of suitors including Netflix.

Microsoft is reportedly asking for more than $300 million for a long-term overall deal for a
first look adaptation of Halo, World of Warcraft, The Elder Scrolls, and Diablo, among others...

DIABLO IV

𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹’𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 celebrates Diablo’s 30th anniversary and brings back Deckard Cain and sends players
through nightmares inspired by major events from Diablo’s history.

Echoes of three Prime Evil events allow players to choose a Prime Evil-related path, and the associated
power can influence their combat style and certain activities.
– Diablo at Tristram Cathedral
– Baal at the Arreat Summit
– Mephisto at the Durance of Hate

QOL features character 𝘙𝘦𝘣𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘩 – this allows you to reset an existing character for a new season, carrying over
the customizations. S15 officially launches on 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, and comes to Nintendo’s Switch 2
with Diablo IV.

This Season of Hell’s Legacy Battle Pass Reliquary — available to all—offers resplendent rewards such as
the Eidolon Mount, Eidolon’s Barding Mount Armor, and the Ancient Town Portal. For the first time,
the Armor Reliquary features unique armor sets tailored to each Diablo IV class.

Moophisto: Diablo 4 Launches Cow World Boss Event

A new reign of udder chaos has begun as Moophisto casts his graze upon Sanctuary!

Gather your herd for The Divine Bovine Community Challenge and raise the “cownter” by 1 each time you
help defeat Moophisto as the global World Boss. If players can defeat Moophisto 300,000 times globally,
a cow-veted reward will unlock for all players in Season of Hell’s Legacy—the Moomento Mori Mount Trophy.

 

 

AMAZON CLASS

The Amazon is a disciplined, athletic warrior from the island of Skovos and uses both bows and javelins.

The first class pack arrives in the first half of 2027, and features four gameplay archetypes: Champion,
Skirmisher, Ranger, and Commander.

 

DIABLO V

And to finish up, a trailer announcement for “Diablo V” reveales  the next era of Diablo – set 100 years after
Diabo IV. It is targeting a Spring 2029 release date.
